by David Simpson on 23 February, 2015

THE HART DISTRICT COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
(STATION ROAD, WINCHFIELD) ORDER 2015
Notice is hereby given that Hart District Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 14(1), (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order as the Council are satisfied that traffic (and/or pedestrians) on the road should be restricted because these works are proposed to be executed on or near the road:
Effect of Order:
All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along that length of Station Road beneath the railway bridge, as indicated by traffic signs. The closure and speed limit restriction are necessary on safety grounds to allow for a detailed railway bridge inspection by Network Rail.
This Order may be cited as “The Hart District Council (Temporary Road Closure)
(Station Road, Winchfield) Order 2015”.
Duration of Closure:
From 4th February 2015 for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 2 days). The closure will be continuously enforced during the period specified.
Alternative Route:
From the southern point of closure via Station Road, Taplin’s Farm Lane, Dilly Lane, A30 London Road, B3016 Odiham Road and Station Road to southern point of closure and vice versa, as indicated by traffic signs.
If you have any queries regarding the above please contact Centurion Traffic Management on 01924 372957.
