Committees I am on

Hampshire County Council

Regulatory Committee – this decides on Planning Applications that are not determined by Hart. Mainly Minerals and Waste but also schools.

Economy Transport and Environment – this has a wide remit from potholes and road maintenance to bus subsidies to Energy Efficiency and helping small businesses.

Regulatory – APPEALS – this is a tribunal that meets to hear complaints about unfair dismissal or on Pensions that people think should be awarded or higher than they are. The pension appeals also cover the Unitary Authorities of Portsmouth and Southampton.

Blackbushe Airport Consultative Committee – this looks at how well the airport is being run and if it is causing complaints locally

Yateley Common Management Committee – this looks at how the whole of Yateley Common is managed and liaises between Yateley Town Council, Hart District Council and Hampshire County Council.

Hampshire Fire & Rescue Authority

Finance & General Purposes Committee – as it says in the name

Performance & Review committee – looking at how the service is performing and ensuring it maintains its incredibly high reputation across the country.

Corporate Management Team – This is where the Chief Officers meet with a few councillors and have an over view of what is happening within the Service.

In addition to the above I attend various Parish/Town Council meetings – I have six within the area I represent they are: Bramshill Parish, Eversley Parish, Hartley Wintney Parish, Heckfield Parish, Mattingley Parish and Yateley Town councils.

I am also on various ad hoc working parties that are set up.
