Sounds like something out of Batman but the Tories wanted to elect a person to run the police rather than the way it is done at present.

People are so excited about this that, two hours after opening, 12 people had voted in one of the local Polling stations. If voting continues at this amazing rate then by close of Polls it will reach 90, out of a possible electorate of approximately 4000 and a cost to local council tax payers of thousands.
