Fleet Road Spur, Hartley Wintney – Carriageway Resurfacing
As part of Operation Resilience, Hampshire County Council will be undertaking carriageway resurfacing works on Fleet Road Spur, Hartley Wintney, from the junction with the A323 Fleet Road to adjacent to the access to The Elvetham Hotel. The works are programmed to start 8 January 2013 and are expected to last for 3 nights, during which time the road will be closed to through traffic from approximately 19:00 to 07:00hrs. The road will be open during the day.
However, timescales do sometimes have to be moved if we get a period of bad weather or we see that, once we open the road up, repair works are going to be more complicated than anticipated. Any changes to the programme will be made clear on the yellow sign boards where the work is taking place, and on our website: hants.gov.uk/transport. Changes and reminders of work will be put out on the council’s twitter feed: www.twitter.com/hantsconnect, and you can also call 0845 603 5633 to check when work is being carried out.
The Elvetham Hotel have been consulted throughout the course of the scheme design, particularly as they are the only property that will be affected by the works, and access arrangements have been agreed with them. Information signs advising road users of the impending works will be erected approximately 1 week before the start of the works.
