A progressive party would not cut taxes for multi millionaires, stand in the way of Reforming Parliament or side with bigots and homophobes in Europe.”

Danny Alexander MP after George Osborne claimed that the Tories would be the progressive force in British Politics.

Mr Pickles has made the same claim. Both seem to have missed the clue in their Party name – Conservative.
