Temporary Road Closure Hazeley Heath not on first post below

by David Simpson on 10 May, 2013

Dear Councillor Simpson

As part of the programme of works being undertaken by Operation Resilience we will be undertaking Carriageway Resurfacing in Hazeley Bottom.

The works are programmed to start on Sunday 19 May 2013 and is expected to last for up to 3 Sundays (excluding Sunday 26th as its the Bank Holiday weekend). The road will be open Monday to Saturday as usual.

In order to undertake the works safely it will be necessary to close the road. Information signs advising road users of the works will be erected before the start of works. A letter has been sent to local residents and an email will be sent to Mattingley Parish Council to advise them accordingly.

The section in question is between the B3011 and the saw mill access road. For the majority of residents vehicular access will be maintained from the West side of Hazeley Bottom via a signed diversion route (Red Hill). There are a small number of houses that are within the works area that will have access though there will be some delay whilst material is laid and allowed to cool.
